Driving to
the Inn from I-5 Southbound: If using GPS, type in "11th
Avenue East" not "11th Avenue" or you will end up in a different
part of town. From I-5 southbound, exit to the right at
Exit #166 (Denny Way / Stewart St). Don't turn left at the first
traffic light at the end of the off-ramp. Instead, go straight
through this first traffic light at the end of the off-ramp.
Quickly get over to the left lane to turn left at next traffic
light onto Denny Way. Drive up and over the highway. Turn left
at the third traffic light onto Olive Way. Follow Olive Way up
the hill for several blocks and across Broadway. The name of the
street changes from Olive Way to John St as you cross Broadway.
Drive 2 blocks past Broadway and turn right onto 11th Avenue
East. The Inn is 121 11th Ave East - a gold house with a black
iron fence and trees in front. Drive down the gravel
driveway along the far side (south side) of the gold house and
into a parking space down in back. Please call the number
on the front door, and we'll be with you shortly. If you don't
have a mobile phone, you can use the phone in the black box on
the front porch. |

the Inn from I-5 Northbound: If using GPS, type in "11th
Avenue East" not "11th Avenue" or you will end up in a different
part of town. From I-5 northbound, exit to the right at
Exit #164A (Dearborn/James/Madison). Stay on this exit
road, parallel to the highway, for about a mile. Follow
the signs to Madison St, not Dearborn or James. Stay left at the
first fork. This exit road will merge with some other roads.
Take the Madison Street Exit. Downtown is to your left and the
the First Hill neighborhood is to your right. The first
traffic light is Madison St. Continue straight across Madison St
and for 9. Turn right at the second street onto Seneca St.
10. Then take the first left onto 8th Avenue. 11. The 1st
traffic light is Pike St. Turn right. Follow Pike St uphill for
1 mile. 12. As you cross I-5 and Boren, you now enter the
Capitol Hill neighborhood. 13. Turn left onto 11th Ave. 11th Ave
is 2 blocks after you cross Broadway. 14. Don't let the street
numbers confuse you. You'll pass 1600,1700,1800 blocks of 11th
Avenue and then after Denny becomes 100 block of 11th Avenue
East. 14. Follow 11th for 4 blocks, past the park, and straight
across E Denny Way. 15. The Inn is 121 11th Ave East - 4th house
on the left after E Denny Way. 16. It's a gold house with a
black iron fence hidden behind the trees in the planting strip.
17. Drive down the gravel driveway along the near side (south
side) of the gold house. 18. Pull into one of the 5 parking
spaces down in back. 19. Please call the number posted on the
front door, and we'll be with you shortly. 20. If you don't have
a mobile phone, you can use the phone in the black box on the

the Inn from the Airport: The Inn is 15 miles from
the airport, about a 30 minute drive without traffic. Some
rental car counters located in baggage claim area. Others in
nearby garage. From your rental car lot, follow signs to
freeways / I-5 North (Seattle). Once on I-5 North,
following the directions above "Driving to the Inn from I-5
Northbound". |
| Taxi to the
Inn from the Airport: A taxi ride from airport is 15
miles, about a 30 minute drive without traffic, and costs about
$42. From the terminal / baggage claim, follow the signs for
"Ground Transportation" to the third floor of the parking
garage. The ground transportation signs will also direct you to
the taxi stand. Direct the taxi driver to 121 11th Avenue East
on Capitol Hill in Seattle. This is 11th Avenue East between
East John and East Denny. It's normally the Olive Way exit, but
this exit is closed until June 2010, so the taxi driver will
take the Madison St exit. This should be plenty of information
for the taxi driver. The Inn is a gold house a black iron fence
and lots of trees in front on the west side of the street.

| Train to the Inn from
the Airport: The cost is $2.50 per person. Total travel
time to the Inn is about 60-90 minutes, depending on whether you
walk, taxi, or bus to the Inn from the Westlake Center downtown
train station. More details on these three options below. Travel
time by train from the airport to the Westlake Center station in
downtown is 37 minutes. The train operates from approximately
6AM-12AM every day with an average frequency of 10 minutes. For

INSTRUCTIONS: From terminal / baggage claim, follow signs to
Skybridge 6 and Light Rail Train. Cross the pedestrian bridge to
board trains northbound to Seattle. Pay the train fare to the
Westlake Center station. You may pay your train fare by buying
an ORCA card, or by buying a train ticket at the ticket vending
machine on the train platform. Buying an ORCA card will allow
you to ride the bus to the Inn for free within 2 hours, whereas
if you just buy a train ticket, you will have to pay again to
ride the bus. Fares are inspected at random on board. Ride the
train to the final stop - Westlake Center in downtown Seattle.
Follow the signs to exit the station onto Pine St at 5th or 6th
Avenue. Then…... OPTION 1: WALK: It's 1 mile, a 25 minute
walk, with some uphill walking. One route is to walk east up
Pine St for .75 mile, turn left onto 11th Avenue, walk past the
park and across Denny, to 121 11th Avenue East. The Inn is a
gold house a black iron fence and lots of trees in front on the
west side of the street. It's the 4th house on the left after
Denny. OPTION 2: TAXI: Walk one block south to Pike St to
hail a taxi for a one mile ride. We are at 121 11th Avenue East
on Capitol Hill between Denny and John. The driver will likely
drive straight up Pike St and then turn left on 11th Avenue. The
fare will be about $9. OPTION 3: BUS: Walk to the
southwest corner of 6th and Pike and take the #43 bus. You pay
your fare or show your ORCA card when you depart the bus. The
bus operates from approximately 6AM-12AM every day with an
average frequency of 15 minutes. The #43 travels up Pike St,
turns left on Bellevue Ave, right on Olive Way, up the hill, and
across Broadway. Olive Way becomes East John St after crossing
Broadway. As soon as the bus passes 10th Ave East, pull the cord
above the window to alert the driver that you would like to get
off at the next stop, East John St and 11th Ave East. Show your
ORCA card to the driver, or pay the $2 (off-peak) or $2.25
(peak) fare per person as you depart the bus at the stop on East
John St and 11th Ave E. Pay with exact change (coins or bills);
the bus drivers don't provide change. Walk back to 11th Ave
East, turn left (south). The Inn is a gold house a black iron
fence and lots of trees in front on the right (west) side of the

| Shuttle Express Shared
Van Service to the Inn From the Airport: This is a
shared ride van service. The 2010 rate is $36 for one passenger,
$38 for two, $40 for three, etc. Shuttles run almost
continuously around the clock, usually every 15 minutes, with
scheduled departure and arrival times. More information and

Transportation" signs to the Ground Transportation Information
Booth located on the third floor of the Parking Garage to make
arrangements. No advance reservation is necessary. |
